FRIDAY August 8

If you’re looking for something to do Friday night, there will be an informal, unorganized, random gathering at Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company, which is located at 77 Coxe Avenue in downtown Asheville. Great local beer, pizza, corn hole and ladder golf.

 

 

 

 

SATURDAY August 9

Captain’s meeting at 9:30. Games start at 10:00.

Games on Saturday will take place at the Buncombe County Sports Park, located at 58 Apac Circle. We will be on a TIGHT SCHEDULE, so show up on time. We will provide fruit, bread, and water. Directions to the field:

·         Take I-40 west

·         Exit #44 at Enka-Candler

·         RIGHT at the bottom of the ramp

·         RIGHT on Acton Circle (just before the McDonalds)

·         LEFT at the four-way stop sign to Sand-Hill School Road

·         RIGHT on Apac between Sand-Hill Venable School and the Buncombe Community West School

Dinner at 6:00. Saturday’s scrumptious dinner and tasty beverages will be served at a picnic pavilion near Azalea Sports Park. We’re having vegetarian baked beans, BBQ tofu, cole slaw and a pig I’ve been raising since last year’s tournament. Directions from Buncombe County Sports Park to the pig and tofu pickin’ are as follows:

·         Take I-40 east

·         Take exit 55

·         LEFT on Porter Cove Road

·         LEFT on Hwy 70/Tunnel Road/Black Mountain Highway

·         LEFT on Azalea road

·         Go past the fields and turn LEFT at Gashes Creek Road over a small bridge – the picnic pavilions are on the left and parking is limited

If you are coming from downtown/I-240:

·         Take exit 8 and turn LEFT on to Fairview Road/74

·         Turn RIGHT at the T-intersection with Swannanoa River Road/74/81

·         Turn RIGHT on Azalea Road

·         Turn RIGHT on Gashes Creek Road for the picnic or keep going straight for the fields

Party at 9:00. Our party will be held at the Root bar, located at 1410 Tunnel Road (between the hotels off of exit 55 and the Azalea Sports Park). Wear your disco threads, do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight! Four kegs and root ball. What more could you want?

SUNDAY August 10

Captain’s meeting at 9:30. Games start at 10:00.

Games on Sunday will take place at Azalea Sports Park at 498 Azalea Road. Follow the directions above to Azalea.
